Headlights Questions

Need some help I love my car but I cant stand the halogen lights! What is needed to switch over to Xenon or HIDs and not cause an error code? Im so used to driving cars with xenon lights that I feel like I cant see the road with the halogen blubs and I even upgraded to SliverStars

Just a suggestion, but you may want to include a question in your original post.

I feel your pain. Xenon lights should be a standard feature judging by how inexpensive some HID kits are nowadays. I purchased a HID kit, wire harness & clips (plug & play). Works fine. Only thing, I do get error message but that doesn’t bother me. Add the error message eliminator & you should be ok.

Hope that helps…

DDM Tuning 35W Kit, bulb color, your preference. Install was fairly simple. Only trouble I came across was getting to & removing bulb(s) bc I have big hands, but nothing you can’t get around.

You will just need a resistor to get the proper reading as LED's and other lights draw much less voltage. Use a multimeter and measure the resistance drop, then match the proper resistor..like 10 cents...and the CEL will go away. Did this after changing to LED's on my rear lights.

You'll want a set of H7 HID kit for your low beams. DDM Tuning is ok, but it's hit or miss cause their QC has been lacking. Can't beat the price though. If you want to shell out for a higher quality kit, I'd go with either MTEC (www.mteclightingusa.com/MTEC_Xenon_HID_Conversion_Kit_Mercedes_Benz_X164_p/hid-x164.htm) or Morimoto Elite kits (www.aznoptics.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=65).
