Broken S in back

So I was washing the wifes Cayenne and my washing mitt got caught in the S on the Porsche letters in the back. So part of the S broke off, but didn't totally separate from the letter. Should I get new PORSCHE letters or should I try to super glue the part of the S back. Should have gotten a pix.

Just man up and do something about it. Then show your wife what a good job you did. You can thank me later;-)

My neighbor told me tell my wife it as her fault, I didn't go that route.
Better to me honest. Thx for advice though, lol. I'll ask the dealership I guess.

Count Zero is infamous around these parts
Do NOT use glue. It's so bad for the paint. If you care about your car at all, do NOT do this.
It's not that big of a deal, I'm sure it'll be just fine. Tell us how did it go at the dealership though

Suncoast sells new emblems, I purchased a set a couple of years ago to go from the silver "Cayenne GTS" to the Black/Red "Cayenne GTS" emblem.

I would not glue/tape anything back, just replace with a new emblem. I believe you can even just purchase the "S".

So dealer is going to charge $240 to fix the S. The fix was to remove all the letters, remove the glue and attach the "special fixture" and replace all the letters. My wife declined that idea. May just but the set from Suncoast and replace the S. Thx for the ideas guys.

Eeeks. That's a lot, the prices for the emblems vary from $50-70 and are VERY easy to replace.

Some tips: Use Scotch Blue tape to mark the current location of the emblem(s) you are replacing. Using fishing-line, or strong thin thread you can cut the adhesive behind the emblem. After you have it off, you can carefully scrape away the glue stuck to the paint (with your fingernail) or use some Goo-Gone to slowly rub it away.

Then just place the new emblem in.

Replacing this yourself is actually pretty simple and will save you what the dealer wants to replace it. We should have those badges on our parts catalog here. Figure #3 at this tech article should help you with the removal of the emblem. Hope this helps!

Thx guys. I'll try replacing it myself. I was kind of surprised at how easy it broke in the first place.

Sometimes they get brittle and worn due to the elements. Let us know how it goes!
