Cayenne speaker interference

This noise and interference can be heard intermittently even when the ignition if off. Weird huh. The noise comes from the larger door speaker. When you use the fade and balance function to isolate the audio output to the front, there is almost no sound from the larger speaker and what there is is distorted.

Any ideas? I'm tempted to replace the Bose units anyway, just hope it's not the amp ?

The speaker by itself will not generate a noise like the one heard there.. If it's only isolated to one channel/speaker; I would suspect something with the amplifier.. I'm sure there's a wiring diagram somewhere out there, but I would take the time to test the speaker on a different channel of the amp to see if the results differ.. That noise reminds me of alternator whine; but since it happens when the car is not running it could be some other type of interference as well..
