2004 CTT Hesitation

I'm going to try and post this here to hopefully get some help and more views, I miss my CTT!

My CTT has around 90K miles on it. So far I have replaced the cardan shaft bearing, coolant pipes (including the t), and the faulty trans valve body. It has been doing great until the last couple weeks. It has developed a serious hesitation when accelerating past 30ish or so. It seems to only be when the CTT is warm. After the hesitation starts and the CTT is warm, it also starts to idle rough at that point as well.

I have no CEL on and no codes stored in the computer. I have parked it and am driving my backup X5, but life in it is miserable compared to the CTT (although double the MPG has been nice!! ). Can you help me figure out what to replace? I am thinking it is time for spark plugs and coils as those are originals and that is what it feels like, but thought I should have a CEL for that to be the case. I usually get my stuff from ECS as there are no local Porsche dealers around me for several hours.

Thanks for any help in advance!!

I had a problem with hesitation under acceleration, but also surging when coming of the power at high speeds on my 04 CS. Idling was fine though. Problem on my car turned out to be primary O2 sensors (pre-cat sensors)I had no fault codes but replacing the sensors solved the problem (after replacing MAF sensors and coils which made no difference). Since your problem happens after warmup, it probably happens when the system goes into closed loop (and starts taking the inputs from the sensors seriously). That being said it could be any part involved in the closed loop fueling (so check MAF sensors as well)

What shape are your coils in? Do you know when they were changed? When were the spark plugs last changed?

I have not pulled one yet to check condition. As far as I know, coils nor plugs have ever been changed.

Take one of the coils out and inspect it. If it breaks apart in your hand or has cracks you probably found your problem. If the coils look good start with changing the spark plugs. If your spark plugs have never been replaced you're way past due. Porsche recommends a spark plug change interval for CTT's at every 40k miles (see attachment).
