2013 Cayenne how to change cabin filter

I do my own maintenance and I went to change the cabin filter and the pictures in forums do not look like what I have. The pics are from different years and they show removing two screws to remove to open the bottom of the filter box. Mine has a latch of some kind but I can't see how to unlatch it. There are no screws in mine. I don't want to break it.

Anyone done it?

Short answer yes

Longer answer - I generally make a loop out of a stiff piece of wire and slip it in the gap between the filter housing and the back of the glove box. I then pull down until the latch releases. You can also pull forward and down on the bottom plate until the latch releases. Other people have used the old o-ring from the oil filter housing instead of stiff wire with some success

Thanks for the information. do you know where that information from the manual came from? Is there a site where you can access detail information. I have been working on BMW's for years, and this is my first Porsche. Since I used to race BMW's I know all the top tech guys in town and can get information from them. I don't have any contacts with Porsche technicians.

Thanks again.

You can send a note to Porschelibrarian at Renntech.org, he may be able to help. Porsche offers a subscription service to their workshop manuals, but it is time based and pricy, More info at the link
