Presentation and roof bars question

Good morning, I introduce myself from Spain, I have been a member of 6speed for some years although I have been participating in the Bentley subforum.
I own a 997 and a 958 MKII.
I am facing the arrival of my second daughter and I was considering buying a Mercedes V300 but I would like to try the Cayenne with a box on the roof. My question is this: Does anyone know if the original Porsche roof bars for a 957 are compatible with a 958? Both vehicles are without crossbars.

I don't believe they are. I have the 957 factory cross-bars and they are explicitly marketed for 2003-2010 models (955/957).

Suncoast has more details on their website for the 958 model:

Thank you very much for your response, what you say makes sense.
