10/26,26 weekend Denver run
Ok starting a new thread for this comming weekend. Let's start with day, which day is better for everyone. I can do either day. I can do any time pretty much, but mid morning might be best.
D33PBLUE has a ride he's been wanting to throw out using some back roads like 83 etc. We could even start off of 25 and 470 at the starbucks near the mall. And go from there. I do not know the specifics, but I rode part of it and it was nice, going east, nice long hills hardly any traffic.

I'm in, doesnt matter when.
I can go up North early, meet up with everyone, then maybe 83 South to 86 West, stop for Gas/Coffee/Food then either 83 or 25 North. Its definitely not the peak to peak, but am doing recon for a fun route just west of the Springs.
There is an ok eatery on the south/west side of the road from the Outlet mall, its called Yard House or something like that. LDC probably knows what I am talking about or a better suggestion.

Boulder seems pretty far to the rest of us, yet we have done it. What Chris was talking about is parker road. That is not a long drive, no longer than Boulder and peak to peak and no further, considering how long it takes to get into boulder.
We can pick a meeting point at At Starbucks in Monument. The Starbucks is either 551 Highway 105 or 624 Highway 105. We can then take highway 105 to route 83 which is parker road. take 83 north all the way back to Lincoln. On the way there we c an stop at Roman Villas restaurant or Las Delicias restaurant both in Parker right off of 83 and Main st.(Roman--18701 E Main St # 2, Parker, CO - (720) 842-4760). Las Delicias - 19553 E Main St, Parker, CO - (303) 840-0325
This should be a fun ride to keep us pout of the mtn's and still have some nice roads, with even better driving potential. I am definitely staying away from the mtns.
Chris, if you were thinking something better but about the same start and end points bring it...

You Boulderites....yeesh :-) I've gotten up at 0500 a couple times to meet up in Boulder (and I'd do it again), just means more time to drive :-)
The CoS drive is something I'm planning for the future, wont be this weekend.
The CO83 to CO86 back to CO83 or I25, it's basically a backroads run to Castle Rock then back to Denver, fun drive, but again, its not a peak to peak by any means.
For fun / debuggin, I generally take 83N to 86W and then either back or take 25S to get back home, its fun loop with straights, twisties and elevation changes. I have another local drive, the sceneray is blah, but its perfect for durametric and high speed runs, its out near "Mexico Springs".
Dennis, whatever the plan, do you want to be the meeting point for us SoCo's?
I'm brainstorming a future drive, Im just a participant this weekend :-)
