hey guys not to be a butinski, but we tried doing weekly meets and it ruined everything. If I were you guys I'd keep it to one in the north and one week at the south location on the 2nd saturday. Anything more and you will not get the draw of people.

Isn't it kind of pointless to have two similar meets in Denver that are weekly? Both seem really informal even if one has a trademarked name, and this meet to me seems to be too small to get a consistently strong weekly crowd. If it had the same draw cars and coffee did(if you've been to an actual one you'll know what I mean), maybe you could do weekly. I'd keep it monthly and then if you miss this event one month, so what, go hit up the weekly cars and coffee. They both appear to me to have similar market share, but one has a nationwide following. Both appear informal(at least here), and two meetings trying to duke it out every weekend, is, well, stupid.

I'm hoping that cars and coffee will get recognized by the manufacturers like it has in other cities. They show up with concepts and test vehicles regularly to the Irvine one, and Colorado is a hotbed for testing, so maybe we can get some manufacturer involvement. I know Nissan was testing the GTR V spec here back in October, and it would have been really cool if they had brought that out. Too bad this wasn't going on then.

Are you talking about the Aurora C&C?

The Cars and Coffee event? Yes. I heard a rumor about it coming to Denver a while back, and then low and behold someone I worked with told me about this site, so I joined, and there is a whole post dedicated to it. Which looks to have caused a little bit of a brouhaha.

From my perspective, it looks like you had one small but friendly monthly meeting, and then Cars and Coffee announced one so the first meeting decided it was a competition, and made theirs weekly as well. Logistically, that is, well, childish.

I'm not sure if that is true, just giving an observation. Personally I like to attend as many meets as possible, but work typically gets in the way of that. However it is impossible to be in two places at once, so I'd prefer to have one weekly with a big following and then maybe 1 or 2 other meets spaced throughout the month. I'm mostly there to look at cars and talk to owners. I really like the Golden Supercruise each month in the summer, and I'm so sick of the Sonic weekly meetings that I quit going years ago.

I will probably make 1 or 2 cars and coffee events a month, and I'd like to go to the great indoors meet every 2 months or so. Too bad I can't go this week, I have to fly to NYC for a meeting.

So to sum it up, I'd like to attend both events, but I can't do that if they happen at the same time every week.
