New to DE's Questions

Hello all,

I am new to Colorado and have not had my porsche for too long. I would like to attend a DE event this weekend and wanted to know what to expect and what is needed to bring to the track. Any tips? Do's and Don'ts?

Try a search, like this

Basically make sure the car is in working order...change fluids if you haven't recently (including brake fluid change and bleed)...check brake pads. Some events require helmets, some require an inspection. Not sure where the DE is or how advanced, but it is OK to take it slow to start....learn the cars handling peculiarities.

this information should be readily available from the organization that is putting on the event...you should check there because every organization is different in what they require...as Wross said make sure your car is in top condition as it is likely that will be your responsibility (if you don't know how to inspect fluids/brakes/suspension bits have someone do it that does)...requirements as to safety equipment, clothing, numbers, helmet snell rating, food/water etc...should come from the event organizer...they may also offer helmets for rent if you don't have one...you will also have to remove all loose objects from your car (floormats, garage openers, cell phones) anything that can become a projectile...good luck and have a great time...btw..this is a very slippery slope
