Autohaus in Boulder
These guys are great! Talk to Mark and let him know Mike with The Man Cave said he is great. Mark has done a lot of work for me over the last 10 years and really knows what he is doing! They specialize in Porsche and Audi but can do just about anything.

Try Gunbarrel Motors instead...hopefully you will have better luck. Ask for Dave Ott. He built my race car and is very well known in the SCCA world for really knowing his stuff.

I visited autohaus this past week, and I have to say that I wasn't overly impressed. I am probably going to get my oil changed there. I will post my experience if I do.
I have had mixed experience with Gunbarrel motors. they worked on my former 986 twice- once was OK the other not so. the not so was over carelessness... plain & simple.
although I haven't had work done there yet I am VERY impressed with 3zero3 motorsports. I visited them to discuss some major modifications to my car and I was very very impressed with everything I saw and everyone I spoke with. definitely worth checking out! if I go forward with the mods I am definitely taking my car there.

For detailing, bring your car down to Mike at the Man Cave. They are good guys and worth the drive.
FWIW, I had my car into 3Zero3 a couple of times. Nothing major, they did ok, but they did not address a couple of issues up to my satisfaction. Also, when I was looking for new wheels, they completely ignored me. Trying to spend money there, and they wouldn't reply to questions. So far I've been pretty happy with Peak Eurosport.
hmm, good feedback on 3zero3, thanks. when I was talking to them about the mods-- I asked a bunch of questions-- for my car they were very responsive.
I have looked at Peak Eurosport's website before. I'll give it another look.
happy new year

as concerns Porsche service etc around Boulder.....
I needed to get an alignment after putting new rubber on the Boxster S (finally opted for Micheline Super Sports, but it was a tough choice between them & Yoko Neova DA08's). historically I would go to Tire Source, but it just isn't the same place that it used to be.... the racing knowhow/expertise left with Pete & Steve.
anyhow, a guy I know recommended Tire Inc. (Pine St) in Boulder. I was VERY happy with the experience.
the owner (Ben) definitely 'speaks the language' that performance guys like to hear.
he went over the 'as found' printout with me, and we talked through the relative
merits of adjusting or just leaving things alone for awhile.
anyway, I felt really good & will go back.
usual disclaimers... no connection/interest with the shop... yada yada yada

I have just completed mods to my 987.1 boxster S to address potential oil starvation problems before tracking my car. fwiw, I (after much debate and research) decided to do the following mods: FVD baffled sump (also adds .6 gt oil capacity), 996 swirl pots and a Porsche MS AOS. I tracked the car yesterday with no problems.
anyway, 3Zero3 did the mods. there was a small oil leak from the FVD sump. I was in Italy on biz and my first track day was the Monday after I got back during the weekend. the folks at 3Zero3 came & got the car, repaired the leak and then arranged for someone to meet me at the shop on Saturday so that I could get the car and keep my track day schedule. so, my first experience with 3Zero3 was first rate. I have more mods planned & will go back there for advise and installs.
just one guy's experience...
usual disclaimers.... no interest or personal relationships in the shop or anyone with it.... yada, yada

This is a 2 part answer, if the car is somewhat normal then Chance at Stevinson Imports is pretty darn good, however, if the car is very modified then I would give the nod to 3zero3 motorsports, both places are batting 1000hp in taking care of my needs so far. My experiences with some of the other shops mentioned here will not garner very complimentary comments.
