Save my HREs....

After several months of constant beating on my HRE it has been reduced from this....

to this...

And the Rears...

to this....

Essentially all the lips have now been dull and there are these stubborn brake dust that has caked on the inner spokes... I just ordered the P21s Wheel Gel from the GB...but what else can I do or need to do....

Or do they have to be machine polished again?

But my HRE has survive everything that streets of NYC have thrown at them without any damages to the wheels themselves....not bad

That's easy....I just did a F430 and the wheels are similar to yours. You'll need Menzerna's Nano Polish to polish off the oxidation in the aluminum. Then you further polish using zymol Metall and wax using zymol wheel coat. It takes a while, almost 3 hours for all 4 wheels, but the results are safe and worth it. The p21s cleaner is a great one and invest in a horse hair wheel brush that won't marr the finish.

What would you recommend to remove the harden brake dust that has settled between the spokes? will the P21S remove those as well or should I get something else?

I would use P21s cleaning soap to get all the crap off, then use a good chrome/aluminum polish on them.

As Moe said it is going to take some time!

Try Wheelwax metal polish it is a wad that cleans and polishes the results are amazing. You can then apply the wheel wax on to prevent oxidation from returning.

I concur with msindi about the Mother Billet ALuminum Polish. But I am sure all the products mentioned work well. That being said, get ready to look like the next American Gladiator when you finish. Your arms will be ripped after 3-5 hours of straight polising, *haha*.
