Gas Spill Question

I friend of mine who I haven't seen in awhile contacted me the other day with a question about a recent 300zx TT project car that he picked up. It looks like the previous owner of the car spilled some gas and it stained the clear/paint. I haven't seen the car in person, but was wondering if anyone else has had something that looks like this, and if so what did you do to bring the finish back? He is prepared for a repaint, but I said I would take a crack at it first. Here is the picture that he sent me. Any ideas? Thanks guys.

Just try using a mild polish like Menzerna Final Polish followed by a paint cleanser like Zymol HD-Cleanse or P21S paint cleanser. You may just be fine with the HD or P21S as well. You'll need to wax afterward. If you need something right away at a local part store, then zymol Cleaner Wax should/might do the trick.
