Thanks to Moe for his recommendation on Karcher K 3.68 MD, don't have it yet, it's on his way from Germany but I'm sure you gave me a good advice on it.

Bought a cheap wet & dry vacuum cleaner from Karcher as well , model: A2004 , I think its the cheapest but its good , it has some power but only one level of power adjustment and a 12 liter tank to suck the water.

+ these products (hopefully I'm allowed to post their names since they are available everywhere....)

Sonus SFX Ultra-Fine Detailing Clay Sampler
Poorboys Natural Look Dressing
303 Aerospace Protectant
Meguiars Triple Duty Detail Brush
Two-Way Mini Detail Brush
Meguiars NXT All Metal Polish
Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner
Vikan - Extra Long wheel spoke brush
Meguiars Super Degreser
Meguiars Slide Lock Detail Brush
Ultra Plush Premium Microfibre Buffing & Finishing Towel 16x16
Terry Applicator Pads (twin pack)
Meguiars Lambswool Wash Mitt
Meguiars NXT Generation Car Wash - 64oz
**** Snow Foam
**** Foam Lance - Karcher fitment & Free 1lt Snow Foam
Meguiars All Surface Interior Brush
Elite Engine Degreasing Brush

I know , these aren't the best products, but I couldn't find everything I wanted on stock. These should do the job.

+ a pic with a part of them

No wax/polish pad or machine yet. I have to repaint my hood and front bumper because I have some major chips on them from rocks. However, I clean mostly the interior & engine bay. Will post pics after I start ... probably in March, it's freezing outside now.

This is how my engine bay looks now

Have zero experience in that, I've read some detailing forums and have an ideea about how to apply them. Should be fun and time consuming.

Looking forward to the end result. Just go easy with the Super Degreaser. Very aggressive stuff. Dillute it 2-3 parts to 30 of water. You can always make it more aggressive if need be.

I'll be careful with that , don't want to ruin something down there because of the composition.

I think I will use some aluminium silver foil to cover some sensitive electric parts and have them carefully cleaned with an engine brush soaked in the super degreaser.

How should I proceed with the degreaser ? Should I spray it down there or should I use a small microfibre towel ?

Oh , one more thing: how much do I have to leave the degreaser there and how should I clean the residue ?

I will take some close-ups while I do it.

Don't worry about the foil. Run your engine to warm it up for a while. This will allow the water to immediately turn into steam after it has rinsed the dirt off. Spray the solution directly on the engine compartment. The dwell time is tricky because of how concentrated you have made it. I would do a 2:32, since most professional bottles are 32oz, and let it sit on for about a minute. From what I can tell, most of the engine is years of dirt, not grease and grime. Start cleaning everything with a brush. Spray more as you go so the area doesn’t dry as you're brushing. Do a rinse after you're satisfied, check your work, repeat if necessary. Then towel dry and run the engine for another 5-10 minutes. The heat will dry the engine and the sensitive parts. Then come back with your 303 and condition everything. I'm not a fan of the conditioners on the engine; I like the clean look.

If I'm satisfied after the degreaser + water , I won't apply the 303 protectant. I'll use it only on the rubber door seals.

All I need is some good weather as I don't have a garage and its snowing again here Can't wait to finish that, I'm so embarrassed I kept it this way for almost two years. The hard part I guess will be doing the interior. I won't post pics right now of the carpet , I'll post them after I'm finished

I have one more challange: to remove the car front seats and rear bench then completely strip down the cloth and wash it properly. It smells funny (too much tobacco I guess) and has some small salt spots from last summer.

Can't remove the interior carpet completely to wash it good as well, I can remove only a half, for the front part I have to remove the dash so I have to do it that way.

Too bad I can't do the exterior nice as well , I have to repaint the hood and front bumper because I have large areas where the paint protection is gone (don't know the term in english: paint dope/varnish or whatever is called) and going with a polish machine over would end up very bad.

Oh, anyone using this type of inflatable wash pads ?

a company from United Kingdom sells them for around 800 GBP... pricey but I find them very useful
