Glass Scratch Removal?

Well, I was at the gas station the other night and i decided to clean off the rear windshield with the squeegee/sponge thing and noticed today that it put a bunch of scratches into the glass!!!
Is there anything I can do short of a rear windshield replacement?

Thanks in advance...

If you can feel the scratch with your finger nail, it's too deep. You can try polishing the scratch if it's superficial and see if it minimizes the appearance a bit.

some catch the nail, and others are barely noticiable. the problem is there is about 5 scratches from top to bottom across the entire rear windshield....

give steel wool a try, if that doesn't work the scratch may be too deep.
