Question New Car Scent?

Does anyone know where I can find an air freshener that actually smells like a new car scent? I know you can walk into your local kragen or autozone and buy a product that claims to smell like a new car, but smells NOTHING like the smell of a new vehicle?

I remember hearing something awhile back about a company that had produced the fragrance, but wanted to inquire about some of your experiences...

zaino brothers "leather in a bottle" product is a super leather treatment and leaves the car smelling like you just drove out of the show room. people comment on it a lot, like "man your car is immaculate. it even smells new." highly recommended.

+1 for Zaino Z9 and Z10. It's a decient leather smell and does make it seem like new leathers.

The new car scent actually comes from the new carpets, plastics, leather, headliner, etc. As far as I know, there really isn't anything that can duplicate the "smell".

Gotta 2nd that.

When cars are put together and closed up the scents combine and the carpet and fabrics tend to capture it. IMO, the carpets carry the heavier scent when new. Fresh carpet, even in homes, will dominate the entire smell of a house. So when your carpet gets dirty and such that smell will take over your car.

I'll take the smell of 1Z Cockpit Premium over 'new car' any day.

never used this. from the description on detailers domain, it's like a dashcleaner, correct?

It is a cleaner and protectant for the dash, trim, door panels, etc. It isn't something that you just spray in the car ... but the smells great inside once you are finished.
