I thought this might be the right place to do a little "show and tell" about a sweet Porsche Detail.

I'm not promoting my services, just thought some of you guys would like to see this. I've never posted about my own work before and don't plan on making it a habbit.
Thanks,
Josh

Great work Josh...It seems you really took your time and the results were worth it. I think you did a fantastic job for 15 hours; impressive. I like the way the interior came out; not shiny or glossy at all. The exterior paint has a lot of shine and gloss; looks very wet. I think I need to start wearing a mask as wel when polishing; I'm hearing the aluminum oxide in the polish is bad for your lungs.

Needless to say I've been wearing a mask ever since. I had thought about it before hand, but after talking with him I do it everytime I'm deswirling a car.

Yup, what Pat said. You can get it at Walmart or HD or Lowes. It works great for taping off seems and moldings so you dont' burn them or stain them with the buffer and polishes and it pulls off easy and leaves no residue behind.
Moe, thanks, and if you're doing heavy polishing, especially in a confined area like a garage, I would highly recommend wearing a mask to keep that powder and dust out of your lungs. A doctor I detail for once told me of a condition called sylicosis (I think that's how it's spelled) it's basically from breathing in all that compound dust and he told me it's the same as breathing glass into your lungs....
