Tree Sap?

What are some good ways to clean off some tree sap? A few drops on paint and one blob on the windshield.

Thanks!

On glass just use a razor blade. On paint, use rubbing alcohol. You can purchase the 70% from a pharmacy (we use 99% at our shop).

I have also found that a HOT damp towel will remove sap that has not sat on the paint for a while.

Get a hot damp towel, set on sap, let it sit, then wipe away the sap.

Detailing clay on both is the best and safest.

Both matt and Damon are on the spot. The glass with a blade or some goo gone would work. On the paint, you can clay if a small sap mist or tiny dots of sap, but the goo gone works well too. Just make sure to not rub too hard and use a microfiber towel. Also remember, if you use the alcohol, clay, or goo gone, you will also need to polish and wax the area you were working on. All three of the abpve will remove the wax that's protecting the paint.

Are you sure it's just on the windshield? Every time I've gotten tree sap on my car, it's been everywhere. I've had luck with detailing clay.
