Bentley Porters Arent That Good

Hey guys,
I was doing a fine detail on the flying spur today and for the first time I noticed that there was some gunk/adheisive on the chrome trim today left over from the protectant tape that is put onto the chrome when shipped from england, I called bentley and asked what they used and they said they used something similar to electrical tape. but now I have to get this stuff off, how can I get it off? Some pictures of the adhesive/gunk below.

Use the goo gone in the spray bottle and gently work it around with a microfiber towel. You will then have to polish and wax that area.

You can also try some solvent like prep-sol, that will remove any glue or other gunk that is on there.

Like Moe said, you will have to polish that and wax it after you are all done, and I would also recommend reconditioning the seal that it is on also. You can use the Einszett Gummi-Pfledge which is their seal conditioner, or even something like Zymol Tyre which will replace the oils that you are likely to remove from the seal when cleaning it with the solvent.

I'm a bit surprised that they delivered a Bentley like that....you should tell your customer to let the dealer know about that and give him them the bill.

Do you have any solvent based waxes. You can tell if it's a solvent based wax, if it seperates and you can see the solvent on top. This is great for cleaning stuff like this.
