Need Advice on 1986 Alpha Romero GTV6

Friend just picked this car up and it needs some paint correction and lots of polish. He has tried some light compound by hand and sees some red on the pad. So we are assuming it is color only no clear.

I will be seeing car this weekend hopefully and can get some pics.

Mainly I am wondering if what i have on hand is good to do this or if I should get some different product.

On hand I have
Flex VR
LC yellow, green, white, blue 5.5" pads
Menz SIP and 106FA
Lusso Oro wax
Lusso cleaner

Thanks guys!

The Alpha is a single-stage paint, by your description of the pad turning red. There is clear, it's just mixed in with the paint. The products you have should be just fine to rejuvenate the paint and make a huge difference. Good luck and can't wait to see it when you guys are done.

Moe is correct.

And SS paint is great to work with, it cleans up very nicely and very easily.

Don't forget to take some before and afters....

Make sure to be careful when polishing around edges, single stage paint can burn pretty easily. I recommend keep the rpms low when polishing, around 1000-1400 should be safe.
