treating porsche interior

How should the Porsche interior vinyl pieces like the non full leather dash be treated? I usually just use 1Z ****pit to clean them. What is best product to treat and protect them like I do my leather seats. Thanks

You should treat every material in a car. Initial treatment will protect and prolong the life of the the vinyl, plastic, leather, clearcoat on any painted part, etc. Then it comes down to maintenance of the areas you've treated.

High traffic areas such as the driver seat, driver-side door sills, steering wheel, radio dials, etc. will need more frequent cleaning and conditioning. Remember, there's a difference between cleaning and conditioning. Imagine simply putting on lotion when you get up in the morning and heading out to work. After a few days, you'd have a stinky, dirty, and goopy skin. Cleaning is like taking a shower to wash off dirt and oils. Same concept in your car. You need to first clean all the areas you'll be conditioning. My cleaner of choice for the whole interior is Autoglym Interior Cleaner. Been using it since 1995, and have yet to switch. It's safe on leather, vinyl, carpets, suede, alcantara, etc.

As for conditioning, the 1Z ****pit is a great maintenance spray, but it's not going to take the job of a conditioner. Think of it as a detail spray for the interior. As for leather, some good conditioners are einszett Leather Care, Meguiar's Detailer Line Leather Conditioner, and my leather conditioner of choice, Zymol Treat. The Zymol and 1Z give the leather a more satin look, the 1Z has slightly stronger scent. The Meguiar's conditioner will give a slightly shiny appearance and it's easy to apply.

The vinyl can be treated with 1Z Vinyl Rubber Care, 303 Vinyl Protectant, or Zymol Vinyl. All three are great IMHO. Treating vinyl will give it shine but the products above give it a more sheen than shine.

Painted areas such as body-colored matched interior pieces or carbon fiber pieces get treated like your paint. Simply polish and then wax them. Once you do this proper routine, it may be months before you have to do it again. Then, using ****pit Premium, you can simply maintain. Hope this helps.
