what style of detailing would you rather perform?
full reconidtioning over a couple of days, or a simple wash and wax
with all money aspects being the same, what would you do day in and day out?
me personally, I love to do the reconidtioning detail work. There is just something about taking a trashed car back to beautiful again. I recently took a 73 Ford Fairlane that was completely trashed back to 98% reconditioned and looking amazing. The owner was going to sell it, but after I detailed it, he is keeping it!

I honestly enjoy both. Of course I get more gratification when working on $100k+ car for 20hours because I can turn something that doesnt look as it should and make it beautiful again. But I like the wash and wax type jobs as well, especially on a car thats already been cared for by me.
Definitely a bigger fan of the multi-hour restoration. There is something about working really hard on a beautiful car until your arms feel like they will fall off that I really really love. It's a very good feeling finishing, and usually your hard work will produce incredible results, which is very nice as well.
Their paint is generally hard, but the occasional car is a bit softer, not sure why. I worked on an Atomic Orange Z06 (gorgeous color, amazing car) and it seemed a bit softer than a few C5 Corvettes I have worked on in the past.
i haven't polished one out, only waxed one, I am just saying what I have heard
I don't get why some black C5 corvettes and some black C5's made in a different place will have different clear hardness (used car as just an example). There should be standards among all factories...oh well, that's what keeps us on our toes I guess
