locally sourced detail products for a first timer

i havea 2001 porsche 996TT only a week off the show room from a dealer

but ive done a road trip in it and shes dirty

what products can you guy reccomend i can go and get that are of decent quality.

i dont have time or ability to wait for shipping at this time alter i can try some of the high grade stuff but not in schedule right now.

i was looking at the mothers clay bar and many many washes n such

interior is fine but exterior needs some help.

im not gonna be usging a motorized buffer ive seen the damage they do and im not ready for that maybe later.

i have picked up a couple wash mitts and some MF drying towels and now in search of the rest of the arsenal to use.

Well...you asked for what would work off the shelf...and the point of the thread was that off-the-shelf products will not give you the results you see on the threads here and elsewhere on detailing forums. It's OK to use those products if you need to get by, but your money and time is better spent using products that actually work. Here's a simple kit that you should be getting if you want to start on the right foot..

http://www.glisteningperfectionstore...ash-Kit/Detail

If you can just wash your car for now, and order the kit above, you'd save yourself the headache later.

washed the car looked decent but i think im in need of a professioal detail after looking at the paint in some spots,

used some eagle one no dry carwash that a buddy had and was NOT impressed wont buy that if i am looking for soap dish soap would have done better

note to self wash car earlier then 12:00 in houston heat

and note aboout rainy weather coming the next day

she looked good afer a wash but not like some of these pics you guys show us.
