My Sister & Sister-in-Law Bought me a CR Spottless for my B-day!
Sounds good to me....we just need more people so I can get better pricing. We'll need at least 5 people...hopefully 10. Keep in mind, we sponsor 4 forums...so that's 5-10 across all forums.
Sweet, keep us informed
I don't necessarily need the foam gun, I've got a pressure washer with a foam gun already, but I definitely do want the DIC-20 (that's the larger unit on the cart, right?).
As a follow-up to my original post a few months ago I finally cracked open the box and washed my car with the CR Spotless for the first time last night. Wow, I am quite impressed! The thing actually works! After washing with my Karcher pressure washer I used a silicone squeegee and an electric leaf blower to remove 95% of the water but the car looks amazing! I am pumped!
BTW, when I went to install the 2 white PVC adapters that came with the CR Spotless into the side of the system one of the adapters broke. I took them to Home Depot and purchased both adapters in brass along with various quick connect valves, etc. and it works awesome. I would definitely recommend you spend the $20 for these little add-ons. BTW, if you plan to replace the plastic pvc adapters with brass ones the part you need is a hose connection on one end and a pipe (plumbing) connection on the other. I found them in the plumbing section.

You can just leave the DI water on the car, no need to use the squeegee, you will lessen the possible marring.
Here is something to remember. DI water is going to oxidate any brass, hence the reason thoes pieces are plastic. Same thing with your pressure washer, ALWAYS run non di water through it afterwards to conserve the internal metal pieces. I know from experience what it will do to metal if left in LONG term contact.
Cheers,
GREG

As Greg mentioned, you may notice the brass corroding due to coming in contact with di water...I noticed some new aluminum fittings from gilmore that might be better. They look like brass but weigh about a 10th...I'll find out from CR if those will work better.
Hmm, good to know. I had no idea that DI water will oxidize the brass. All of my quick disconnects, etc are brass.
Just out out curiosity, will the oxidation ruin anything or is it simply aesthetic?

I have a foam cannon, the internals are brass, the finer sized pieces got a bit oxidized and effected the spray pattern. I cleaned the parts works fine now, but I always run tap water afterwards (cleaning up washing area).

BTW, I think I discovered one other benefit to the CR Spotless. My car is a darker shade of blue and normally attracts dust pretty quickly. In fact, I usually use my California duster 3 times per week or so between washes. What I have found is that I have not needed to use the duster on my car since I washed it 5 days ago! It still looks amazing!
Can that be from the de-ionized water? Maybe the microfiber towels create static electricity that attracts dust??? Any ideas? Great side benefit though!
