Metropolitan Detail Porsche 997 Full Venture Shield Wrap
Metropolitan Detail Porsche 997 Full Venture Shield Wrap
When some people buy a Porsche C4S, it never sees more than a few raindrops a year. This one however sees mountain passes, and even came in with snowtires installed. Pretty cool to see such a capable car being used for this. The best way to protect a vehicle like this is with Venture Shield. An 8 mill urethane film that protects from everyday rockchips and abrasions. Check out our custom installation.
At Metropolitan Detail we offer "Lifetime Free Film Wax", with a fully wrapped vehicle, this customer is going to take full advantage of this and have his car waxed regularly at no charge.
In these few first pics you will see we remove the roof rails, and the sunroof felt, this enables us to wrap the film inside the roof rails before they are reinstalled, and also into the sunroof, and the sunroof panel is wrapped seperately before reinstalling the sunroof felt. The rear bumper was removed to remove the bumperettes, as were the taillights, this enables us to wrap the film when installing film on the rear bumper.

As you can see here, more removal of parts was necessary for the perfect installation. The exterior door handle and mirror were removed so the film would lay flat, and also wrap into the door handle before reinstalling. We also removed the rear reflector so the film could wrap into the spoiler area, and under the rear reflector. The rear spoiler was also wrapped.
The finished product. You can see all parts have been reinstalled, and all film has been wrapped. Now just gotta wax the film and car will be finished. I will post pics of car after wax tomorrow.
Great work John. Attention to detail and level of workmanship is second-to-none as usual. It obviously shows how much pride you guys have in your work. Keep it up buddy.

Hey my car has gone AWOL..now I know where it went. Some of the members here would remember my previous post...

Snoqualmie, Chinook, Satus, Blewett ..you name it, my car sees all mountain passes on a weekly basis. I also park my car in the hospital at late hours leaving it susceptible to getting key'd. But I was still somewhat reluctant to do the full wrap just because I love the look and finish of a freshly waxed paint. I then gave Metropolitan detail a visit last month somewhat undecided.
Immaculate work done by conscientious and passionate people in a dust free environment equipped with the ideal set up (car lift), attractive pricing, unbelievable customer service with free lifetime waxing and above all Detail John being very personable. These were enough reasons for me to give business to Metropolitan. Now I can't wait to get my car back. John, thank you for wetting my appetite with those pics. As the pictures demonstrate, it truly is a work of art. But that is no surprise to me. I cannot imagine leaving my car for 10 days with anyone other than you. Looks like the wait was well worth it. For the benefit of other members, I will post my first hand customer review tomorrow.

Really nice result.
Can I ask how much it is to get the car fully wrapped? You can write me a PM if you dont want to publish the price.
I think for my car it is already too late
Since I have already thousands of stone chips - it hurts to see the car like that....

Just an update guys. It was a great clear-bra install. I was highly impressed by the water just sheeted off the clear-bra during my car wash this afternoon. I remember detailjohn tell me when I took delivery of the car to look out for the beading on the clear-bra when it rained. Never imagined that the secret coating he gave on the clear-bra would work like magic to sheet the water off.
The skill level, passion they bring in to their work and the customer service to boot makes them the complete package. I had a great experience with their custom job on the full wrap on my car.
Wow awesome job. Can anybody recommend a shop in the East Coast that does such work? I am thoroughly impressed. As well as scared at the cost of such a job (full wrap) and upkeep requirements! I actually drive my car alot and wonder if it is worth it to do a full wrap or full front.
