Great work Phil!! A real transformation.

It's always disturbed me that repair/performance shops can be so focused on the mechanical aspects of the car, yet have no concern for the condition of the exterior/interior. They may use fender covers and the like, but if they drag them across dusty paint, more damage is done. If I owned a high-end specialty shop, I'd have a detail guy on staff...or at least have a working relationship with a good detail shop and make it part of the package. Visiting a fine detail shop should be voluntary -- not a necessity due to shop-inflicted wounds. But then again....it's good for the deail biz!!

It looks perfect.

About the paint thickness: I noticed the Cayman S detail job you posted had the paint measurement @ "511" and when I saw this 993 at "110" it really caught my attention. Is this to say that the paint thickness on the Cayman is that much greater than the 993? What kind of values should we be expecting with Porsches? At what point do you not correct the paint and yet still keep enough on there for the next 20 years?

Ahh...I see...duh! Thanks for the clarification.

What is the minimum level that you will not opt to proceed further with any paint correction?

I would not work on a car if its under 70 microns.
