Help asap!

Guys, since autopia is down, I'm in need of a quick ref.

I'am wetsanding with 2500 grit, I will be correction with a rotary. I already have the materials except for pads.

I have discussed with several members over on autopia to use LC pads.

However, which type of LC pads should I use? (Hydrotech etc.)

CCS pads work very well, and will help keep the heat down. If you're polishing out 2500 grit sanding, it should come out fairly easily.

can you explain the difference between these

If you're correcting with a rotary, I wouldn't recommend using such a small pad. Get a 6.5" CCS pad. Site sponsor Moe has them on the shelf.

Jeez, I forgot the size of my rotary.

Wonderful..

But in terms of cutting aility, do the ccs pads differ much from the flat pads?

Sorry for the delayed response...the CCS pads do a better job of dispersing the polish/compound on to the surface. The nice thing about the curved CCS pads we carry is their ability to contour curved areas of body panels.

You seem to have a good routine...orange and white pads should work well for you.

So that's it, the ccs curved is basically the same thing as the flat pads, but better for angles?

(I'll likely need this for a 76 Countach)

moe! One more quick but very silly question

I don't have my box that says the size of the buffer (makita) however, on the plate on the buffer it says 7 inches.

Which size lake country should I go for?

is that a stock backing plate that you have if so you have the 7 inch one.

you would need to pick up a 6 inch backing plate for the 6.5 inch pads.

what out with the ccs pads as they tend to leave pig tails, make sure they are a clean up after a few passes. or just change up your pads. we noticed this a few years ago and stopped carrying them for the flat pads.

just some insight.

Yea, stock backing plate.

Thing is, I measured the plate and it's about 6.5?
