machina has a spectacular aura aboutmachina has a spectacular aura about
suspension, engine case, etc...

Wondering how to clean up all the mechanical parts underneath the car (997)

Control arms, wheel carrier, engine case all seem to have a patina of oxidation that feels rough to the touch.

Tried my P21 but it didnt touch it.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
dr

There are many components underneath the body that require various cleaners. For example, the cleaner you use to take grease of tranny case may be too aggressive to clean the rubber hoses.

Which P21S product did you use? We have great luck with Total Auto Wash...it just needs to dwell for a bit depending on what it's applied to.

Various bushes and towels are also critical in helping products do the trick.

Let me know if this is pointing you down the right track, and then I'll elaborate further.

DetailedDesigns is infamous around these parts
Try an auto safe all purpose cleaner like Meguiar's APC concentrate. The strongest cleaner I would suggest would be a solvent, but be careful with a solvent around plastic and painted surfaces.

Make sure you have a really good assortment of brushes, with soft and hard bristles.

With those points in mind I have never come across suspension or under body parts that couldn't be cleaned.

Ya...you should try TAW instead. That's what it was designed to do.
