Detailing??????
Watching the videos on how to use the Flex or PC buffers they show doing a small area at a time... I realize that it's done to show just how much time the chemicals need to be worked to achieve the result you want... but, when you start the actual job how large an area do you work? Do you do the entire car with the, say, clay and then swirl remover and then the entire car with the next chemical in the process?

2. When using a paint cleanser, we simply do the whole car, then wipe
3. When polishing with a machine, work small areas such as half a hood, 1 fender, 1 door, etc. This allows you to check your work after each small area to make sure you've achieved proper correction before moving on
4. Waxing will depend on the wax. Some require 30 seconds to sit, others require minutes
As with everything, ambient conditions will play a major factor. If it's a warm and dry day, when polishing, you'll need to work in even smaller sections since the oils in the polish may dry out too fast.
So, use your judgement. Hope this helps.
