Some may say the same thing about upgrading/tuning an already amazing Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, etc. I have friends that may spend thousands of $$$ getting extra power out of their car, but never really using it to its full potential. But, I understand that's it's something they enjoy and it makes their car unique.

Same with detailing. You can have an amazing car, awesome aftermarket wheels, the best mods to make it go faster, then have it look like the local high school charity wash has been taking care of it.

The appearance of you car is just as important as the car itself. It would be like dating a supermodel that has the potential to look like a million $$ but is always wearing sweat pants, likes to sit on the couch and watch tv, and eat bon bons.

I second glass...love/hate relationship. It'll make/break the whole detail.

Since I don't like it so much, it's one of the tasks I have to take my time on to make sure it's perfect on a client's car. On my car however, being in the ballpark works

When you do it on the side for other people, this time of year. Raining and less than 60 out today. Get to wash and clay a car out in the rain. Then sit on a cold concrete floor to get the lower parts. Ech.
