I have three stripes on the hood and door wraps. I am hoping to find out how to keep the black a dark black. I am not sure if waxing is fine or if I should be using some other product. If only wax, should it only be carnauba because there are no polishing properties or...?

A wax or sealant won't do any harm. If anything they will give an added protection to the stickers as well. Any LSP (last step product) [waxes, sealants, coatings] will be good to apply over the vinyl. If you plan to do paint correction, be sure to tape it off.
