**Black Colorsanding/Buffing Before & After pix**
Hello forum members!!!
Today I decided to detail some of the scratched up Jet Black BMW painted reflectors we've had sitting around... As you can see, they look a thousand times better now.
Products used:
-Poorboy's SSR2.5
-Menzerna Final Polish
-Clearkote Vanilla Moose
-Porter Cable 7424 random orbit buffer
-Yellow & White pads
-Foam pad to apply Vanilla Moose by hand
1) I first started off by hitting each reflector with Poorboy's SSR2.5 and a yellow pad since they were really scratched up. I started on speed 1 then moved up to 3-4
2) I then went over each reflector with a white pad and some Menzerna Final Polish which really cleaned up the minor scratches. Started on speed 1 and moved up to 4
3) To finish I applied Clearkote Vanilla Moose by hand with a foam pad.
As you can see from the before/after images, the reflectors were VERY badly scratched. We had went over them with 1500 grit sandpaper to level out some huuuuge speckles which occured during painting.
Half-buffed
Before/after side-by-side shot
Finished!!
