hey. so i don't own a ferrari or anything but i saw a commercial a few months back about Quaker State Q synthetic motor oil and they say it is recommended by Ferrari... is it really? I find that hard to believe... I have an M Coupe and an M5 and both strictly require Castrol TWS Motorsport 10W60... but I mean, basically everything I've ever been told about oil otherwise is "use anything BUT Quaker State" so I find this hard to believe...

 

Porsche and Mercedes are in contract with Mobil-1, hmm i guess the manufacturers have contracts with them, i think all the oils are similar to each other

 

A manufacture can not "require" the use of 1 brand of motor oil. There is a law about this that if they require this oil they have to provide this oil.

well there is no other oil company that sells oil in the US that makes a 10W-60 weight that anyone has found...
