POSSIBLE V8 TT FOR ENZO REPLACEMENT

Autoweek has just confirmed that Ferrari is seriously considering powering their next super car (due around 2012) with a Twin Turbo V8 instead of a V12 as in the previous Enzo. According to the report, Ferrari's technical director Roberto Fedeli gave the impression that the possible motor change is apart of an internal debate as to how they'll reshape the power-to-weight ratio.
What do you guys think?

old news. they stated that when the millechille or whatever it's called was shown.

1000KG (2200LBS) + V8TT would be best case scenario IMO. all it would need is a manual gearbox but we both know that's not gonna happen.

V12 and add a twin turbo setup. CF body and other lightweight contruction goals. space-aged technology for a revised F1 system.....you're left with something pretty damned ridiculous....and expensive I'm sure

Ferrari has hinted that a good amount of their future cars will be turbocharged. It's really just getting too difficult for car manufacturers like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and other exotic/sports car makers to keep making high revving NA engines that meet the ever increasing emissions standards that are being imposed. They're also going to focus and getting their cars as light as possible.
