Ferrari doesn't want the dealers to sell over MSRP because if the car is ever lemon lawed Ferrari has to pay the final sale price, not MSRP to the owner. They got burned on a few F40s that delears had marked way up and then the cars were returned leaving Ferrari with a huge bill.
