MSRP is the going rate at the moment. I wonder if you buy at MSRP and hold on would it change with economy or you have given the taste of MSRP and now it will remain near it and right above it. I some friends that waited 1-2 years to get at MSRP.

Your car is a year older with more miles for the same price everyone says is WAY too much. You won't get within 25k of your ask.

Of course he will. He's offering a very nice car and his price is reasonable.

He's not selling a Chevy Tahoe!

I won't be as harsh as the guy 2 steps above me, but private owner 05 F430s are a little soft. I've seen red 2 red ones with no stories go for $175 at non ferrari dealers. Also, there are reports of dealers letting 08 allocations go for $20k over sticker to new customers. Not sure what the MSRP of your car was. If someone is looking for that exact color combo, they'll pay for it. Be patient I guess, but i think that # is a little optimistic.

this comes from someone who is in the market, but hasn't found the right car at the right price yet...

$175 on a good day. More likely less.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll see. I am fortunate in that I do not need to sell it immediately, but since I have already purchased another F-car that is not too dissimilar (a stradale), I am not inflexible.

On the other hand, having gotten a couple offers already though I am pretty confident $175k will not be the clearing price for this car.
