Question about f430 f1 shifting

What's up guys?
Quick question - is it recommended to let off the gas in between shifts or just stay on the gas?

Also, should you always put the car in nuetral at stoplights or is it ok to leave it in 1st?

Sorry if these are stupid questions, but it's the first Ferrari that I've had experience with and I don't want to start a bad habit that could prematurely damage the clutch or something...Thanks in advance!

i do this, in every light when i stop i put in neutral, and between shifts i alays push the gas... that what i do, but i dont know if this is good or not, i do because i drove a lambo and with the lambo always you have to put in neutral when you stop in a light... or that what the lambo sales man said!

No, you dont need to put it to put it in N when ure in a stop light. Anyways in 1st gear the car wont move till u press on the gas paddle, its not like ordinary automatic car. And keep on pressing between shifts, u can also feel the jerk when u shift at high RPMs haha

Good info guys, thank you very much. I do notice the trans shift a little smoother when you let off the gas just a tiny bit in between shifts, but my 430 has a Novitech exhaust and no cats so shifting while pressing the gas sounds incredible.

ohh good point, does it wear the clutch prematurely to downshift when slowing down say to a stoplight, or should you just let the car downshift by itself?

Oh, when you are going to a stop just let the car down shift by itself its smoother.... What i mean by down shift is when you are trying to pass someone or when u just want to floor it, the sound is just amazing...

ohh absolutely! The sound of the car is absolutely incredible, I'll be doing a photo shoot and video on it soon. Sounds like a mix between a sport bike and a Formula 1! Thanks for the info! If anyone else has some insight please let me know.
