I would hope that nobody was foolish enough to pay 50K over list for an R8.

The new 458 looks like it's going to be an amazing car...

I know a few that already did!
Money can't by intelligence!
the R8 V10 is going to command huge premiums, for something you could buy at your local Lambo store for a deep discount.

I don't see the R8 as a direct competitor - the 458 is 3100 lbs w/ a 9K power peak. The only new car I can think of that would compete directly (and is sub-200K) is the Gallardo LP550-2, and it's not out yet either.

Everything about is incredible.... except the headlights, just seem rather long and odd. I'll reserve judgment until I see them in person.

The f430 looks positively bulky now. The bar has been raised. I hope I can buy one.

Did it say the price? I had read previously the California was positioned so as to be entry-level and the 430 successor was going upmarket. That might put the coupe in the 240-250 range. It better be freakin awesome in this economy...

Not sure what I think of this car. When the 360 and then the 430 were revealed, I was just instantly in love with the looks of the cars. I'm not geting that same vibe from this car. The front just looks a little weird to me and I don't like the Enzo style brake lamps on the rear, IMO they seem out of place with the flow of the rest of the rear end.

I'm sure this car will be a performance monster and that the styling will eventually grow on me but it just doesn't have that instant visual appeal to me that the last few F cars did.
