Newbie intro with new to me F car.

Hello All. Just wanted to say hi and comment on a 05 F430 my good buddy Jnixon and I picked up last week. We traded a C6Z06 for the car and we have a 996TT Protomotive650 and 04 SRT-10 Viper both are mine and Jnixon has a 997TT 750AWE that he ownes. We co-own the F car and its his week to play with the new toy so I don't have pics to share yet and he may beat me to the puch in posting.

First thing we did was get a detail and clear bra the front, rockers and rear behind the tires. My buddy has already ordered some monster Brembos GT with 6piston front and rear calipers and HRE P43 wheels wrapped in PS2's in flat black.

We were like kids once we got to Lamborghini Houston and test drove a 05 Gallardo to make sure we were making the right call on the F car. The G was cool but if we went that route we would have done a 06 or newer.

Question, the outter mirrors driver and pass side have some play in them, the are a bit loose to the touch and have a bit of play or wiggle in them. We tried to tighten the hex or torx screw but it is already tight and won't tighten any more. Anyone know about this or is this just typical?

Forgot to mention the car is red with black int with red stitching and red seat inserts. Daytona pwr seats, sheilds, red calipers. She had just shy of 7k miles and passed a very stringent insp with 85% clutch life. F1 trans and sounds and drives amazing!

Those mirrors can be fixed with some epoxy and delicate hands. There are 2 phillips screws holding the pivot inside the mirror pivot that have holes that are week. I take off the pivot mechanism, put a little epoxy in the hole and after around 2 minutes screw it back on. Congrats on the buy.

BTW We have an ST5 that allows us to perform all diagnostics on those 430's our newest update is for the instrument cluster on the 430. We also are a direct installer for EVOMSit software. Give us a call.

That's very cool! How do you find co-ownership? Seems like a pretty neat idea.

It works great! We grew up together and have know each other for many years. We share a passion for cars and the co-ownership allows us to share in expenses for maintinance, storage, ins and when we sell or trade we get to take the loss together and also share in the fun of ownership together.

One week its his and the next its mine. Some compromise has to be made on both parts when deciding on color of car but we always agree on a few colors and then target those while on the hunt.

Based on the times, neither he nor I would have been in a position to buy an F car with out selling one of our others in addition to the trade in. I wanted to keep my 996tt and Viper and he wanted to keep his 997tt so we put the Z06 on the alter and had to sacrafice it but it was for a very good cause for sure. Can't wait for next week when she will be mine.
