Bought the 430 ferrari
My friend and I traded in a Z06 for a 05 6500miles red 430 Ferrari. I love the car. I love my 997 turbo but the ferrari has a certain feel to it that can not be replicated. I am very happy we went with the f430 instead of the Gallardo. The engine exhaust sound is incredible. I also ordered HRE wheels and Brembo brakes for it. The brakes are great but look small under the wheels. I am going with a 305 for the rear with Michelin PS2.
Drove both an 06 Gallardo and an 05 Gallardo and both were great but the Ferrari had a few things I liked better such as the layout of the ****pit and the sound of course. If I were to chose the Gallardo it would have to be cheaper if the two cars had the same year and miles. My friend and I will probably eventually add it to the collection because it was an awesome car. The neatest feature was the hydraulic front lift which helps to prevent the driver from tearing off the front end. Very fast car.
05 G and 05 F both in sport mode the G car was pretty jerky imo. Race mode in the F car was smooth as can be in shifting. Like Jnixon said, we left saying the G will be a nice compliment to the F but we would hold out for a newer G perhaps in a few years maybe pick up a LP560-4. Make no mistake, they are both tremendous cars imo but the F also felt a bit more nimble probably due to the rear wheel drive.
I'm interested in knowing how the partnership works w/the two cars? who gets to keep it in their stable? :-) what arrangement do you have for who gets it in and how do you control the miles on it, to be fair?

Life partners? That is a good one. Wait till Jon boy reads that. The F is in my garage and just got a full detail and she is resting under that nice car cover that came with her.
Took her to the track Sat but it was high 50's low 60's and the track had some water from the dam on turn 8. Still on Pirelli Rosso's which I think came with the car as new and are probably 4 or more years old. The combo of an older tire and cooler day with some h20 made it a challenge to get the tires sticky enough to really have fun, but the car is very well balanced overall and sounded great!
We pretty much do 1/2 month we me and the other half with Jon so I will turn her over soon. Not life partners and both have wives that are as HOT as they get. Just grew up together and have been best friends for close to 20 years.
We don't wig out about miles or sweat the small stuff just a mutual respect for one another and the car. We both have other toy cars so it helps us not want to be driving the F all the time.
If rain clears up this week I will post some pics. Car looks great with the huge Brembos and hre satin p43's are soon to get put on the car.
Lambo LP640 coupe is in the future if it is up to me and once prices fall some more.

yeah, most women don't realize how expensive it is having a man. It started w/off road for me, then boats, and now i'm breaking into cars.
Her comment the other day was: "what's next, planes?" Some weekend day I'm going to kid around and tell her that I'm headed to the airfield for flying lessons and see if I can get her to vomit.
