As the title suggests, we re-filmed the full front quarter panels to the Scuderia. First off, the customer brought the vehicle to us for evaluation as he believes the previous installer did not perform a "good" job. During his consultation, we understood his frustration with the clear bra installation as the full front fenders were redone twice prior to bringing the vehicle to us.

Issues with the film on the full fenders performed by the previous installer:
1. excessive dimples
2. silvering
3. excessive stretch marks
4. joint seam under the hood emblem
5. open gaps of 3mm-1/4"
6. edges were not wrapped

The customer was most unhappy with the stretch marks and dimples. The previous installer utilized a precut kit for the application and was a 2 piece application with a joint seam directly under the hood emblem.

We do want to note that the full front quarter panels on the F430 or Scuderia are very difficult, so it was no surprise to us that there were so many visible installation flaws.

Customer decided to have us re-apply our clear bra with a custom one piece design. So the work begins

 

During removal, we noticed that some of the leading edges that were not wrapped were starting to show wear from rock chips. Fortunately for the customer, our application will consist of wrapping the edges wherever possible

Are there any Pre-cut bras available for the Scuderia ?

 

Just an observation/comment when looking at this photo.

You need to be real real careful when laying Ventureshield backing plastic on a car like that. Any little particles of dust or debris on the cars paint or on the back side of that backing plastic can micro mar the heck out of a cars paint.

 

I'm pretty sure when they do that, they're very carefully of not putting any scratches or marring on the finish of that car.

 

Yes, that's correct. We have been installing film since 1997, so the experience is there to care for our customers' vehicles as our own.
