06/07 F430 pricing...

I'd appreciate pricing (to buy) thoughts on this vintage F430 coupe - both 6 speeds, both red/tan - the 06 with 2600 miles, and an 07 with less than 2000 miles - both have good options and clean history - THANKS!

I'm in the market for the same spec car. What have you found so far? After my research, I'm beginning to think that I can't get one for less than $150k.

6speed F430's are hard to find..... Marshall Goldman had a 2000 mile 430 06 red/tan asking 145k but it SOLD, and Cauley Ferrari had a 2007 6 speed red/tan 1600 miles asking 159k but it SOLD.

Prices are attractive but if you find the "right" car in a 6speed you should jump on it because they go quickly because of the low supply. My friend was in the market so he filled me in on the details, he purchased a F430 F1 in the end.

Purchased an F430...

I actually purchased the Cauley F430 that is mentioned last week and it is being delivered tomorrow. From every indication, it seems like an exceptional car - a one owner/one dealership car with every piece of documentation from new and exactly what I was looking for. A Tubi and 3M clear bra installation were done when the car was delivered new, so there is no additional costs for me for those nice options - which includes them sending along the factory exhaust that was removed. I don't expect to get much sleep tonight waiting for the car!

Additional mention re the Marshall Goldman F430...

This car was on eBay (auction ended either last Monday or Tuesday?) with an instant buy of $139K. I spoke with them about the car after the auction and they were willing to accept an offer (below $139K, but not sure how low), but the car had ZERO service or sales history, no window sticker, etc. I did some further research in back issues of Ferrari Market Letter and found that this car had actually been for sale at Cauley Ferrari as well back in April 2009.. Iasked my salesman at Cauley about it and he remembered the car...seems they tired of trying to sell it and wholesaled it to Marshall Goldman. My salesman said that customers did not like the red piping on the seats (I actually liked it) and it did not have Daytona seats. Then too, it also lacked documentation and had three (as I recall) previous owners. I always pay up for a car with a documented history, no excuses, window sticker, and ideally a one-owner car with single dealership history. That's what I found in the 07 F430 at Cauley.

Congrats man, it looks like you found a great example and I hope you enjoy her.

I myself do like the red piping as well on the Marshall Goldman car, but the daytona seats are an important resale item it seems. Many of the these 430's were tossed around in the days of selling at or over msrp, not exactly a great feeling buying a 3 or 4 owner car, the Cauley car seems to be a clean unique find. The miles are really low, I hope you drive it more....I am in Leesburg Too small world.

That's me...

Yes, I had the red TT (a PERFECT car) and sold it at a deep discount (but seemingly the REAL market) to a 6-speeder in California. I took his offer ahead of the car appearing in any other publication and glad I did. I never received a single inquiry otherwise. I had absolutely NO intention on buying another Ferrari, but that's just who I am...in and out of great cars with no plan! The driver called me yesterday and said his truck lost its fan clutch 20 miles away from the dealership so delivery is being delayed at least another day...I'm anxiously waiting for his phone call. I sure was hoping to have it this morning as scheduled given the forecast for tomorrow morning (ugggh,,,more snow). I will of course use the Ferrari, but I have no intention of driving the wheels off of it... I cringe when I hear people say that 'Ferrari's' are made to be driven, blah, blah, blah. Of course they are, but they are first and foremost made to be 'enjoyed', and if that means to me just walking to the garage and looking at it, then that's my choice. No pretention here - I can't afford to 'use it up' like some owners with endless money available for the next one. You too had plans to sell the TT - correct?

Yes, I did throw the idea out there to other members on the sale of my TT and actually had a few decent offers considering the market. I did not part with it because I would like to get back as much money for the mods I have done. I never actually listed the car so I made a poor attempt to reach a wide audience of potential buyers. I know its hard to retrive mod $$$ but even if its 1/4 of the amount of the price of the extras of the $28,000+ I have spent I would be happy. car is worth 100 and 7500 in mods back, so I need $107,500 for it to make sense. My TT is white/blk 6speed with 4950 miles and MSRP of $144015.

I have had my TT for 2 years, ( I usually get a new sports car every year so this is a record for me ) I was very impressed with the Audi R8 V10 so I ordered one, thats when I started to think about selling my TT. A few more months past and I realized the R8 was not worth the 165+ price tag. Its a great car but it does not seem like a 165+ car to me now, I think they will end up depreciating heavily so I backed out. The dealer was very easy to deal with because I purchased my TT from them, and they had another buyer lined up, deposit returned I have always thought about the 430 but the lack of warranty kinda scares me. I have owned over 10 sports cars and have never driven one without a warranty, ooh wait, I had a 993 turbo without a warranty but I only had it for 6 months. Anyhow I may follow the same path you did, the 430 is such an amazing car. My TT with 600HP is stupid fast but it does not have the exotic flavor of the F car. Since you are just a few minutes away, "literally" from my house I would love to see your car. Keep us posted and let me know how that beast drives.....

F430 Pricing Study

Hello:

A day late ...

I don't know if anyone here is familiar with fchat here, but the following thread is an interesting read.

http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=274759

IIRC the same individual did a study for the F360 and was pretty accurate in relation to recent sales.

Take care and enjoy the new Fcar!
