Driver or road surface. They shouldn't do that.

i swore to never own a sports car in anything but manual transmission. but the f430 in my opinion was meant to be driven in F1

^Exactly.

Fact: 360s and 430s 6speed will always hold value no matter what.
That said; there's nothing quite like the 1-2-3-4 shift that the Ferrari manettino shift provides is nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Thank you 599 and F430s... both were 08s

F1 for sure

A Ferrari dealer let me test drive a pair of 360 Spyders, one with F1 and one with 6 speed, back to back to see the difference. The F1 took some getting used to, but eventually, it felt more precise and acceleration was definitely smoother and faster than the 6 speed. As the F1 continues to be refined in successive models, I'm sure the performance advantage will also continue widen. I have always liked shifting gears myself but I must admit that technology is making the performance advantage of automated shifters hard to dismiss. I think that Ferrari makes one of the best F1 transmission out there right now. As far as resale, I think that F1 cars will always fetch more money similar cars with 6 speeds but that gap will narrow as car prices drop over time.

I disagree. I've been searching for a 360. Manuals are more expensive.

If you go with the 360, I'd get a manual.

If you decide on the 430, I'd go for the F1.

The F1 transmission was revised in the 430 and works MUCH better and is far less problematic then the 360.

Please I have a 997 turbo stick with a 750 awe kit and I also have a F430 with paddles. The Ferrari is slightly more fun to drive and much easier to drive on the tract. Most paddle shifting are not like the F430. I tried the PDK and would not rate it near as fun as the F430.

My DD is a 997 and the 360's 400hp isn't enough of a jump for me, so the more brutal but less pretty 430 is the way to go for me. I also prefer 6M for my transmissions, but I suspect that I'll get a F1 trans for the 430 since my 997 has a 6M. Ultimately, the condition of the car is the most important to me and a quick survey on cars.com shows there's usually about 6 F1 cars to 1 manual cars within my price range in blk/blk, so the F1 models give me more choices than the manuals.
