High Mile F430

I am looking for a 430 too, but will not buy until may since there is snow on the ground. I am just starting to get comfortable with the idea of $120k, but my problem is that the car has to be exactly as I want (as any car of this value should be), which is rossa corsa coupe with black interior and red stitching over daytona seats. Best I can find is a $150k asking price now. Will see what inventory and prices look like in spring. I have little preference for year or cc breaks, so all that is going to do is add tens of thousands to the price. I also prefer about $12k miles since that means the car was driven regularly and also because I plan to put 4 or 5k miles a year.
I think 430s will be under $100k for the higher milage less desirable color and option cars, but not until next spring. If you are picky it will cost another $20k, and you should be picky about your Ferrari dammit! I doubt they will drop below $90k in the next 3 years.

There wasn't too much info available on the car or any high res pics and the seller didn't seem to eager to make the sale.... seemed like they were trying to get rid of this and whole bunch of other cars. so I passed.
Assuming that the car was well driven...how would those miles affect the performance and health of the vehicle. If routine service is completed on a timely basis, how much 'life' would the car have left? At what point does engine or tranny replacement or overhaul become nescessary?
How's the market right now on F430s? I want something clean and trouble free but some of these sellers (cars.com, ebay, autotrader) list generic info about the car and don't seem to know the full history... I also don't get a good feeling from getting a Ferrari from a place called 'Lucky's auto sales,' but working with a Ferrari dealership really seems to carry a premium.

Smart move. High miles mean nothing, but being a rental car is a big no no. That car was probably beat to living hell. No matter how well the company maintains the car, it can't control what the renters are doing.
