Ferrari dyno tests every engine before installing them, comes broken in, they drive the cars before they even leave Italy so have fun with it... They did ; )

Yea, I have some advice. Instead of asking strangers on the internet go talk to your dealer.

Ferrari does dyno every engine and test drive every car at least 30 miles before they ship it over, so it is broken in for the normal driver. If you are planning to take it to the track and keep it a around 8000 RPM a lot, I would wait until you have at least 500 miles on it.

In the US for college and you have a 458? It sounds like you can break it in any way you like as a replacement should only be a phone call away :-)

The nicest car I had in college was a salvaged mazda mx-6, it did the job for my last 4 years. I saw another thread of a guy getting a brand new Cayenne S while in college. If I already had a sweet car I might of been much less motivated in school. My hats off to you!
