2012 Ferrari 458 Italia Capristo Remote Valve

Hello everyone, just wanted to stop in and show a little Ferrari love today with a '12 458 Italia that we added a Capristo Remote Exhaust Valve system too.

Parts Installed:

Capristo Remote Exhaust System

The owner of this 458 just wanted to add a little touch of fun to an already great car. What is a better way to add a touch of fun than adding extra noise on demand. The Capristo valve does just that by adding in control of the factory exhaust valve on the 458.

Time to access the exhaust system

The two valves that we are taking control over with this system

After tapping into the factory control box the Capristo control box was mounted behind the bumper and all wiring secured in place.

End results are pretty fun, even better when out on the road or at the track.

for a quick video of the finished results.

Congratulations on your 458! If you have an existing Capristo electronic valved exhaust installed the wireless kit is a fairly straight forward installation. We can provide installation instructions via email if you wish. You will need to run a few wires and install the wireless module.

Feel free to email me directly if you have any questions adam@GMPperformance.com

Do you need to remove the rear bumper for installation? Approx time for the installation?

Lastly, as you know, the valves open on the 458 at 3K RPM. With Capristo, is the exhaust not louder?

TIA.

For the Capristo remote valve control itself, no you do not need to remove the rear bumper as the area can be accessed by removing the rear under panel as shown above. Approximate time 2-3 hours.

This system is giving you the ability to control when the valve opens and closes, but is not making the system any louder. You will be able to open the valve sooner, or keep it closed if you wish. If you are looking for more sound, I would recommend one of our exhaust or header options for the 458.
