Capristo Carbon Fiber Hood and Hood Latch Cover for the 458
RENNtech is a large Capristo dealer and we are happy to offer the new carbon fiber hthey have for the 458.
The engine hood or engine bonnet for the 458 Spider is fully engineered, designed and manufactured by CAPRISTO. Made of 90% Carbon Fiber and 10% Glass, the hood is manufactured in true German draftsmanship, and living up to the CAPRISTO “savoir-faire”.
This hood was slightly modified to the original. Two more vents were added to facilitate heat release from the engine bay and a nice glass insert was added to give the rear of the 458 Spider a very different appearance than with the standard engine cover. The glass is tempered and up to DOT and other Transportation Authorities Standards (See TUV Certification).
Designed and CNC’d out of a block of aluminum to ensure a 100% perfect fit, the hood was made in an autoclave to ensure maximum strength and lightness.
The hood is shipped in “raw carbon” and unpainted. It must still be painted in the car’s body color. We do offer the option to paint it if you want. If you select the “Painted” option at CHECKOUT, we will need the color code of your vehicle.
A cross beam for the lock was implemented, and you can easily add the original “Ferrari” logo of your previous hood.
Please note that in vehicles with a satellite antenna (American models), a different rear window pane is needed.
