Just curious......would you buy a ferrari with a rebuilt title?? Just slight body damage, no structure or mechanical damage. Still drives, none of the airbags went off.

This really comes down to personal preference. If you're not saving the car for the next guy, not worrying about resale, gonna put miles on it, mod it, etc., yes. In fact, IMO, this is probably the way to go if you're of that mindset because you'll be able to really enjoy the car. You're less concerned about using it often and you're in a position to mitigate costs of ownership typically associated with high end automobiles that take depreciation hits as the miles accumulate.
I would buy it in a second !! This is a great way to get into a good car for a good price. Just be sure to inspect the car properly (above and below) make sure to get the repair done at the right level of quality. Always assume worst case scenario when estimating anything!! Sometimes there's a good reason why damaged vehicles are sold cheap.
This is an excellent question and I am struggling with this same question at this very moment. There is such a car, a 458 Italia, near to me which could be repaired into a wonderful track toy, the problem being of course that it would have a rebuilt or salvage title (or certificate of destruction depending on the circumstances). If there is no structural damage and the car would be safe it seems like an excellent opportunity provided one does not care about the ability to sell it down the road. So if you are certain it can be legally titled then buy in at a low enough cost to justify your needs and any stigma that would be encountered when selling. Ferrari owners/buyers seem to be a finicky bunch and quite wary of use of the car, let alone damage.
