Decided to keep my Stradale

After getting some low ball offers, while my car was on consignment, I decided to keep it and plan on adding the Stradale Stripe.

I was thinking custom cars in LaGrange IL to do this.ANyone recommend any other place in the midwest to take on the challenge?

Ryan,
if u're serious about putting stripe on it there's only one place to do it right. let me know i'll give u the contact info. it's in CA though but the quality of work is worth the shipping.

Good move, I was wondering why you would sell one of the more rare cars in your collection. I love the Stradale with the stripe!

The Last Detail in North Chicago does the best paintwork that I have ever seen. They are the shop of choice for Lake Forest Sportscars, and last time I was in there were restoring two 300SL Gullwing Mercedes.

Stripe is a decal applied prior to clearcoat.

Can you get a Stripe KIT from Ferrari?

Yeah I 've heard mixed feedback - some say its painted from factory, others say its a decal applied at factory then coats of clearcoat over it, so it looks flush.

WHich is the best way to go about this - aftermarket-wise

Thanks
Ryan

the clearcoat is hand painted. the sticker is hand installed. not that it matters since it's under the clearcoat. it matters if u run the fingers across & can't feel it. thicker clearcoat & buffed evenly. the right way of doing it.

Arling is right on the money. It's a sticker that has clear coat on it.

Good decision Shank. The Stradale is a classic to be.

I would leave it as is; to go to the aftermarket could seriously diminish its overall value.
