360s are pretty reliable, the belt issue does suck to some extent though which is why the new cars use chains. If you do the scheduled maintenance though I think you are fine.

I have a great idea! Buy a 22-year-old 308, pour as much money into it fixing it up and restoring it as it would have cost to buy a nice 360, and then you'll have a slow, creaky, unreliable . . . Oh wait, maybe that's just a F#@!ing STUPID idea! Maybe someone should have told me that ahead of time, since I obviously wasn't smart enough to figure it out for myself!
