What's A Fair Price For This F40
Saw this gorgeous 1990 F40 with 3100K mile FS. They are asking $425 but I want know what's a true fair market value for this car.

"Haha the only problem is they are asking $425K."
IMO the problem with valuing these cars is that there are determined buyers who will pay up for a low or relatively low mileage car - and don't care if they may be paying a bit over whatever market may be. Like it or not, there are folks who want an F40 and don't care whether they overpay by $25k ....
I think rufmd is very close; there just don't seem to be that many relatively low mileage US cars around - I've been told I could get $400k for my 1700 mile '91, deduct for a little more mileage and the 90 model year (if that's really a deduction, as some claim), I'd put it at 375-400. If I wanted an F40, I wouldn't feel bad in the high 300s ... if the car is perfect.
Books? Tools? Luggage? Records? Ownership history? Damage? Etc etc.

Negotiate down to $400K and then enjoy having one of the greatest cars ever produced. There is no doubt based on the responses of everyone you talk to about F40's that they are one of the most desired cars of all time. The prices on these cars will go through the roof once more of the people that grew up with them (mid 30's now) are able to afford a car like this.
I would also venture that prices on E30 M3's will climb into the $50K range for unmolested examples over the next 10 years.

Its a keeper even at $400k the market has held its own through all tests and barriers, when my Uncle got his from Kessler he paid over in 1991 for the car as when he saw it he had to have it.
